Do you long for someone to talk to?
Someone who will listen but won’t judge you, no matter what you tell them?

If you’re looking for help with difficult emotions, are feeling stuck and longing for change, or perhaps you’re just fed up of not having any confidence, then email or call me to arrange an initial, no-obligation consultation to find out how I can help.

My name is Dawn Smith and I am a BACP registered counsellor, offering private therapy in South West London. I work from bright, comfortable consulting rooms situated five minutes from Clapham Junction station SW11.

How I can help

No matter how lost, frightened or confused you may be feeling, I can help. But first, let me explain a little more about how counselling works.

As a counsellor, I don’t give advice and I won’t tell you what to do. But I won’t leave you to flounder alone either. In therapy, I aim to provide a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and problems in confidence, develop a greater understanding of yourself, and be supported to consider the changes you may wish to make in your life.

I practice as an integrative counsellor – meaning I ‘integrate’ or bring together a variety of different therapeutic techniques and approaches to fit the individual needs of each client. That’s kind of a fancy way of saying I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy. After all, we are all unique and what’s helpful for one client, might not necessarily be for another. I work collaboratively with you to explore and discover what feels most helpful and effective for you.
