Next steps

Finding a counsellor may feel a little daunting. After all, there are so many.

So, how to choose?

In my experience, that usually depends on the answer to four simple questions – Are you nearby? What do you charge? Are you qualified? And most important of all – Can you help me?

If you have any of those same questions, why don’t we take a look at them now?

Are you nearby?

I am based at The Stephenson Centre (also known as The Captains House), located at 81 Grimwade Street, Ipswich IP4 1LN, just a short walk from the historic Waterfront and the town centre. To find out more click here.

How much do you charge?

My fees are outlined here.

Are you qualified?

People, their lives, and what makes them tick, have always been a passion of mine. It is what led me to work as a magazine journalist for 25 years, before retraining as a counsellor in 2015.

I have over seven years experience of working with clients on a wide range of issues and emotional difficulties at counselling services in Suffolk.

Yes! I am a fully accredited Counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am also a registered member of the BACP (British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy) – the UK’s largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists and adhere to their Ethical Framework.

Can you help me?

The good news is – yes, I can!
